Due by Monday

Greetings Scholars,

Please make sure you share your essay with your partner. I will write the list below. Please bring your annotated copy of your partner’s Literacy Narrative draft to class on Monday, either by bringing a printed copy or by emailing it to me so that I can print it.

Here is a checklist: Literacy Narrative Requirements. You can use the checklist and you can also comment freely, particularly on your favorite part of the essay, and anything that could be clearer.

By 4 p.m. today, everyone should have completed the following:

One journal entry naming three things you saw on campus today

One completed Template Exercise.

One smooth flowing piece of prose including an MLA format in-text citation from today’s Ted Talk, “Do Schools Kill Creativity” by Sir Ken Robinson, and a list of Works Cited with one entry. You can use this Quotation Sandwich sheet as a guide.

Here is the list of partners for sharing essay drafts:

  • Carolin and Onisha
  • Muhammad and Deny
  • Leila and Celia
  • Maosong and Eric
  • Marilyn and Jayden
  • Almas and Sultan
  • William and Dremell
  • Rashell and Arlin

If you are not in this list, you will critique your own draft and bring me your comments by Monday morning.

Have a good weekend,

Professor Brener

P.S. Please remember to email me your baby picture or a picture of something from your “Where I’m From” poem for our final week quiz.
